When he left the label at the end of 2006 (to do A&R for Nonesuch Records), they gained the distinction of being one of few U.S. indie labels to have an all-female full-time staff.
This label has been home to The Gossip, Unwound, Bikini Kill, Witchypoo, and Sleater-Kinney as well as many other Riot Grrl/Indie/Punk Rock legends.
NOTE: Most KRS releases have exactly the same Catalog number for the CD and Vinyl versions of the same release, with albums and singles together, in the same 3-digit sequence.
If you are adding or updating a CD, and the same release is already in the database on vinyl (or vice versa), you will see a warning about a duplicate. There is no need to change the Catalog number to avoid this warning, just tick the box and mention it in the Submission Notes.
For consistency: Please do not add "LP" or "CD" to the Catalog number if it does not appear that way on the release!
