Epitaph
Punk record label based in Hollywood, California.
Founded in 1981 by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. The label had its most successful years in the 90s with artists like The Offspring, NOFX and Rancid, who all released albums that would be certified gold or platinum. The Offspring's Smash album remains Epitaph's best-selling record to date, selling over 12 million copies worldwide.
Epitaph has also been the home to many acts, such as L7, Pennywise, Down By Law (2), Rich Kids On LSD, SNFU, Ten Foot Pole, Total Chaos (2), Gas Huffer, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Millencolin, Descendents, All (2), H2O (7), Refused, Guttermouth, The Bouncing Souls, Death By Stereo, 1208, Motion City Soundtrack, Frank Turner, Alkaline Trio, Set Your Goals, Every Time I Die, The Weakerthans, Off With Their Heads, Thursday, New Found Glory, and most recently, Social Distortion and Weezer.
Epitaph also operate in Europe via their Netherlands office and their office in Toronto, Canada.
