Absolute (2)

Swedish label and series. The Absolute brand was established in 1986 when the first Absolute Music compilation was released. In 1990 the first other Absolute compilation was released, and in 1999 it became a label, replacing EVA Records which remained the copyright holder. The Absolute brand was owned by EMI Music Sweden AB from 1991 to 2013 when they became part of Warner Music Sweden AB, and was licensed exclusively to EVA Records until 2015 when they ceased to exist. While mainly a label, this is also a series for Swedish Absolute releases that aren't part of any other Absolute series (see the "Sublabels" below).
