King Crimson 1969 - 1972 představuje první čtyři alba skupiny a dvě další LP s raritami ze stejného období v luxusním sběratelském boxu. Alba "In the Court Of The Crimson King", "In the Wake of Poseidon", "Lizard" a "Islands" obsahují nové mixy, které Steven Wilson a Robert Fripp vytvořili v letech 2009 a 2010 pro edice ke 40. výročí. Tyto mixy jsou nyní poprvé k dispozici na vinylu. Dvě bonusová LP obsahují raritní nahrávky, z nichž mnohé byly rovněž mixovány Stevenem Wilsonem a s výjimkou singlu "Catfood" jsou na vinylu slyšet poprvé. "The Alternative Guide To King Crimson" je uložen v přebalu s obálkou původně navrženou pro kompilaci "The Young Person's Guide To King Crimson" z roku 1975.
