Na albu hostují Skylar Grey, Rihanna, Nate Ruess a Kendrick Lamar. Album Marshall Mathers LP2 získalo vesměs pozitivní recenze od hudebních kritiků, kteří chválili technické rapperské schopnosti Eminem a textovou hloubku alba.
